Join the Symphony!
Whitehouse
Wind Symphony membership is open to qualified, outstanding musicians
willing to commit their time and effort to our organization. If you
would like more information about joining the Symphony, you can:
- Call our Executive & Musical Director, Casey Bork, at (908) 953-9979.
- Talk to any member of our Board of Directors at one of our performances.
- Come directly to one of our regular Tuesday evening rehearsals.
- Rehearsals begin at 8 o'clock, and are held at the Parish Hall of St. John's Episcopal Church in Somerville, NJ.
- We suggest arriving early (7:30 PM) and asking for Casey or any member of the Board of Directors.
Prior
to joining the Symphony, we may ask you to prepare for a brief
qualifying audition, to be conducted by the applicable section leader.
The audition may consist of a short solo of your choice, plus a
demonstration of your sight-reading skills, and your ability to play
two-octave scales in major keys (up to 3 sharps or flats).
Seeking to improve the overall balance of the ensemble, the Symphony
is now inviting talented musicians for the following positions:

Tympani
- Mallets & Utility Percussion
- Double Reeds - Bassoon, Oboe, English Horn
- Clarinets
- Trumpets
- Tubas
- String Bass
